GameStop and personal training: Hear me out...

My first job was at GameStop and I wouldn't be the trainer I am today without that experience.

What do shopping at GameStop and training with a personal trainer have in common? Why go into a GameStop when you could easily buy games online? Why train with a personal trainer when there are tons of free workout videos online?

It comes down to personal connection and good old human interaction. At GameStop, my job was essentially to just talk to customers and chat with them about what games they were playing, what they liked or didn't like, what new gaming experiences they were looking for. I was shy but I loved games, and this job really got me out of my shell. I learned how to connect with people on a human level.

COVID has opened up a staggering abundance of fitness options. Sure, you could workout at Barry's or take an online class. Sure, you could get a good sweat on a Peloton. But none of those experiences can match personal training because they lack the personal aspect. My clients (you!) depend on me to show you that your goals are achievable.

The first month of 2021 is wrapping up. How are your goals coming along? And how can I help?

See you out there,

Andrew
